Samsung’s 2024 flagship QD-OLED TV, the Samsung S95D now comes with a mammoth $800 price cut even as the brand's current-generation OLED TVs went on sale in store across the world last month.
With Samsung’s recent 2025 OLED TV announcements, including its S95F, S90F, and S85F offerings dominating much of public discourse when it comes to high-end TVs this year, it is easy to forget how important price is as a factor for consumers, especially when it comes to flagship models.
How does this compare to Samsung’s new S95F QD-OLED offering?
Samsung’s 65’ S95F offering clocks in at $3300 currently on Samsung’s site, making it a relatively pricey proposition for most prospective OLED buyers, while offering an upgraded processor, a significantly higher peak brightness (2400 vs 1900 nits), and a better refresh rate (165Hz vs 144Hz on the S95D) in tow.
For consumers wanting the best that Samsung has to offer, the S95F is a no-brainer given its inherent advantages as a newer flagship, including perceivably longer software support, better upscaling, and a slightly revamped design versus its predecessor.

However, the S95D, even if it isn’t cutting-edge as an offering goes, is significantly better than most entry-level OLED TVs, including Samsung’s more entry-level S90F (and its entry-level sibling, the S90D) offering that clocks in at $2500 for the same form factor while offering lower peak brightness.
Its current pricing pits it in an interesting spot, considerably higher than the 65’ class S90D that is also aggressively priced at $1300 on Amazon currently, and much lower than the $2500 S95F above, which it tends to outperform handily in most performance tests.
The S95D, as a higher-end SKU from Samsung, also has some inherent advantages, including considerably better audio than its entry-level peers and a much cleaner installation thanks to Samsung’s proprietary Slim One Connect Box, something that is reserved for its highest tier of hardware.
Users can also pick up the smaller 55-inch class of the Samsung S95D for about $1600 on Amazon currently if they do not want the 65-inch offering, or alternatively, splurge an extra $1000 to get the largest size available (77 inches).
