Samsung Gear IconX US launch delayed until August 19

Although these activity tracking earbuds are already available in other markets and were expected to hit the US on August 14th, it looks like their new US launch date is August 19th.

The Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds by Samsung is one accessory that has been released in multiple countries last month but still has to reach the US. Since Samsung will unleash the new Galaxy Note7 phablet in the US on August 19th, they have decided to push back the release of the Gear IconX accordingly.

The US market will get a three-in-one release on August 19th since the Galaxy Note7 will hit the market next to both the Gear IconX earbuds and the Gear 360 VR camera. The Gear IconX is a completely wireless set that has 4 GB of internal memory for storing up to around 1,000 songs. Its "Ambient Sound Mode" allows the user to hear the surrounding noises over the music playing, basically providing an opposite feature to the popular noise-canceling capabilities offered by many headphones and earbuds already available on the market. This accessory also offers fitness tracking features, integrating with third party products and working with Android devices that run at least KitKat.

Samsung Gear IconX can be pre-ordered already from Samsung and Verizon Wireless, carrying a price tag of $199.99 USD. The colors available are blue, black, and white.
