The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 needs no introduction. The recently introduced book-style foldable has been all over the news and has received widespread positive reviews from critics and users alike. 

There is no doubt that the phone is incredibly pricey, but Amazon's latest $250 discount makes it a whole lot more affordable than before, currently available for just $1,649 on the platform.

The outer display of the Z Fold8 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1248 by 1972 pixels (10:16) allowing for an impressive density 428 PPI. The inner 7.6-inch display, on the other hand, boasts a 4:3 aspect ratio along with a resolution of 2,448 by 1,848. 

When folded, the Z Fold8 is just 9.7 mm thin. When unfolded, the smartphone becomes a shocking 4.5 mm thin. While some people might have durability-related concerns regarding the Z Fold8, JerryRigEverything's durability test should alleviate such concerns.

That said, the inner display still features a noticeable crease, albeit it is much less so than its predecessors. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powering the foldable smartphone is an absolute powerhouse, making even heavy workloads and high-res gaming an absolute breeze on the smartphone.

PCMag revealed that the Z Fold8, courtesy of its 4,800 mAh battery, lasted an impressive 16 hours and 30 minutes in their video loop test, outshining its predecessor by around 3.5 hours.

Other notable details include a 50 MP wide camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, 10 MP selfie cameras on the inner and outer displays, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, IP54 water and dust resistance, 45 W wired and 20 W wireless charging, as well as 4.5 W reverse wireless charging.

All told, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is a solid overall smartphone for folks who do not mind its unique aspect ratio and are willing to digest the brutal price tag, even after discounts.
