Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic European prices leak ahead of next month's anticipated launch
Samsung is not expected to launch the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic until next month, but the European prices of both models have already leaked. According to MySmartPrice, the Galaxy Watch4 will be the cheaper of the two series, but it will launch for much more than its predecessor did, the Galaxy Watch Active2. Similarly, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic will almost match the Apple Watch Series 6 on price.
Specifically, MySmartPrice asserts that the Galaxy Watch4 will cost €350 and €370 for the 40 mm version and €380 or €400 for the 44 mm model. Based on previous rumours, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch4 in black, green, gold and silver, albeit only with a silicone watch band. For reference, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active2 for €299.
Similarly, the smaller Galaxy Watch3 started at €269 and the larger model at €299. However, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic will cost €470 or €500 for the 42 mm edition and €500 or €530 for the 46 mm variant. Samsung is thought to have a 44 mm model planned too, but MySmartPrice has not revealed prices for this option.
In short, the switch from Tizen to One UI Watch correlates with an uptick in prices for Samsung's smartwatches. If these prices are correct, then we would not be surprised if Samsung continues to sell its existing smartwatches alongside its new Galaxy Watch4 models. The Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic are thought to be arriving in August at another Galaxy Unpacked event.
