The best tech deals around are usually on last-generation flagship hardware a few weeks after the launch of the newest generation. With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE having just passed, the Galaxy Tab S9 is seeing one of its best deals to date, coming down from a $919.99 MSRP to $629 in a recent Amazon deal. While it's not the latest Galaxy Tab anymore, the Galaxy Tab S9 is exceedingly capable, whether you're looking for a tablet for note-taking, general productivity, gaming, or especially digital art.

Why the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9?
In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, we praised it for its bright, sharp display, outstanding build quality, and rare expandable storage. When it launched, Samsung promised four major Android version updates and five years of security updates, meaning the Galaxy Tab S9 should receive Android 17 when it eventually launches in around two years. Samsung's OneUI Android skin offers plenty of multitasking features, like split-screen, floating windows, and even Samsung's DeX desktop mode via the Type-C USB 3.2 port.
The Galaxy Tab S9 on sale at Amazon has 256 GB of internal storage, which should be enough, given it's one of the only premium Android tablets around that still supports a microSD card. At 32% off on Amazon, the Galaxy Tab S9 represents a solid value, especially compared to the more recent Galaxy Tab S10 FE, which replaces the former flagship SoC with the solidly mid-range Exynos 1580 and swaps out the 120 Hz AMOLED panel on the Tab S9 for a 90 Hz IPS affair. The Tab S10 FE also misses out on DeX support on external displays, thanks to its USB 2.0-rated Type-C port.
