A Bluetooth certification listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has been spotted by SamMobile. The declaration details seem to confirm the existence of the device, which should offer Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The last tablet in the Galaxy Tab series was the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, which was released in the US and Canada on March 24, 2017.

SamMobile has highlighted a Bluetooth certification filing that appears to confirm the existence and name of the latest device in Samsung’s Galaxy Tab series: the Galaxy Tab S4. Few details are offered in the declaration: The tablet has the model number SM-T835, will utilize Bluetooth 5.0, and it has the prosaic description “Samsung Mobile Device.”

There has been some speculation about what specifications the Tab S4 could have. The tablet may be driven by a Snapdragon 835 or 845, and it is believed it will offer a 10.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 2560x1600 resolution. This will be a departure from the previous model, the S3, which came with a 2048x1536 resolution and therefore a 4:3 aspect ratio akin to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. If the S4 does come with the aforementioned resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio, then it will likely appeal to people who use tablets mostly for watching movies and TV.

Plenty of details were offered up when a device with this model number appeared on GFXBench. The tablet specifications mentioned in the benchmark page included 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, 12 MP main camera, and an Adreno 540 GPU. As the Snapdragon 845 SoC features an Adreno 630 GPU, this would point to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 operating with a Snapdragon 835.

No firm dates or prices have been offered for the device yet; however, the Tab S3 had an introductory price of US$599 when it was released.
