Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus user reports indicate wider global rollout of One UI 2.0
We already reported that some Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus users in Germany and the US had started receiving the update for One UI 2.0, but now it seems there is a much wider rollout occurring. A megathread on Reddit has been keeping a watch over which countries have users reporting availability of the update, and there is a list of countries that can expect the Android 10 upgrade later than February.
For instance, owners of either the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus in Argentina may have to wait until April before they can update their flagship smartphone. April has also been listed for Brazil, while S9 series users in Hungary, France, and Spain might have to wait until March. However, there have been conflicting reports on the Reddit thread from Hungarian and Spanish owners stating they have already received the One UI 2.0 software, so it may depend on carrier or unlocked status.
Users in the following countries have already reported receiving the update to their Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus: Germany, UK, Romania, Latvia, Italy, Australia, Netherlands, USA, Bulgaria, and Belgium. The newest reports from redditors claiming to have installed One UI 2.0 include Slovenia, Spain, India, Switzerland, Portugal, Serbia, and Greece.
