Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra shows strong console and PC game emulation performance in new video

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been put to the test on ETA Prime's new video about the phone's desktop mode. While most of the video is about what Samsung DeX can offer, the latter bits go into gaming, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone handled PC gaming and console emulation well.
ETA Prime utilized GameHub to run the PC games on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The first title that was emulated on the video is Hollow Knight: Silksong, and while it's an easy game to run, the phone was able to run it at over 60 FPS. Next, the YouTuber ran The Witcher 3 at Medium visual preset and the resolution set at 720p. It stayed above 50 FPS during the session.
The next PC game that got emulated on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is Cyberpunk 2077, which was tested at the 720p resolution with the visual settings set to low. It hovered at around 28 to 30 FPS.
Moving beyond PC game emulation, ETA Prime emulated a couple of games through the Dolphin emulator, which can run Wii and Nintendo GameCube titles. With the resolution set at 4x, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Auto Modelista, and Super Smash Bros were shown to run smoothly on the phone.
In the video, the Galaxy S26 Ultra was also shown to run PS2 games through NetherSX2, and on Gran Turismo 3, it could hold a steady 60 FPS during the session. Metal Gear Solid 2, Sly Cooper, and Tekken 5 were shown to run smoothly as well.
It's worth noting that ETA Prime has also done a similar test with the RedMagic 11 Pro, which is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, as it had an active cooling setup, the phone could offer a slightly better performance than the Galaxy S26 Ultra (512GB curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon) in some scenarios.
