Courtesy of our beloved industry insiders, we have a fairly good idea of what the upcoming Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra will have in store for us when it sees the light of day at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for later this month. As a recent tidbit reveals, Samsung may attempt its hand at what Apple couldn't quite pull off.
Apple made a big deal out of Apple Intelligence at the last WWDC, promising a staggered rollout of AI-related features. While the promises were mostly kept, the actual usability and efficacy of the features on offer were questioned by critics, followed by controversies regarding privacy and hilariously inaccurate notification summarizations. While predictions for an AI-driven iPhone super cycle largely fell flat, prominent tipster Ice Universe has predicted that much like Apple, Samsung also plans on making AI and Bixby features a major - perhaps even primary - selling point for its upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
Of course, details surrounding what exact features Samsung has in store remain unclear at this moment, although with the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event planned for later this month, we won't have to wait long to find out. Samsung's Galaxy S-lineup has primarily seen incremental hardware upgrades over the last few years, and it seems Samsung is now planning something massive with its ecosystem, overhauling its software functionalities with the help of AI.
As the present information indicates, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 120 Hz AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, and 16 GB of memory for the 512 GB and 1 TB storage variants. Pricing details for the Galaxy S25 series have also recently been leaked, revealing a €100 price increase in the EU, although the jury's still out on the authenticity of the information.
