Samsung's latest Galaxy S23-series flagship Android smartphones have been released to pre-order in India via several channels, Amazon included. They start at ~US$970 on that site, rising to at least ~US$1,515 for the top-end Ultra option. Then again, for those who would be content with their 2022 counterparts, they are now available at discounts of up to 38% right now.

Samsung has imbued its Galaxy S23 series with a number of generational upgrades, an improved top-end SoC that is constant across all markets for the first time in a long time included. However, those with an enthusiasm for the idea of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy who live in India might be stumped at their particularly 2023 prices.

The top-end S23 Ultra, for example, is now up for pre-order on Amazon starting at INR 124,999 (~US$1,515) for its new 256GB internal storage base model, even though it is US$1,199 on Amazon US, with an upgrade to 512GB at no extra charge.

However, consumers more interested in saving on very recently last-gen Samsung mobile hardware could opt for something like the 12GB RAM/256GB internal storage S22 Ultra instead, now priced at INR 106,999 (US$1,297), or 19% off its normal, pre-Galaxy Unpacked price.

Alternatively, the vanilla S23 has a 38% (or ~US$400) discount that drops its price to INR 52,999 (~US$643) as a "limited time deal".
