According to a report, Samsung is developing a Galaxy Note 22 Ultra, the successor to last year's Note 20 Ultra. Allegedly, people have seen prototype components that sport a typically Galaxy Note design.

@UniverseIce has sparked debate about a next-generation Galaxy Note again, having previously stated that Samsung had killed off the series. Last week, the leaker claimed:

someone in the supply chain has seen evidence of the existence of the next generation Galaxy Note.

Now, they have added that the device is the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra, the presumed flagship of the Galaxy Note 22 series. Reputedly, @UniverseIce's source has seen the device's 'middle frame structure', which retains the distinctive squared design of past Galaxy Note smartphones.

Ultimately, we are unable to verify @UniverseIce's information here. However, a new Galaxy Note would fill a gap that Samsung's other flagship smartphones cannot. The company's decision to bring S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold3 have watered down the Galaxy Note series' selling point though, in our opinion.

Nonetheless, if Samsung is planning on returning to the Galaxy Note series, we doubt that it will until next year at the earliest. A 2022-bound Note 22 Ultra would probably use the Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 898 too, which Samsung is expected to utilise in the Galaxy S22 series.
