Samsung's very own Galaxy A34 5G is also available at roughly the same price and offers similar system and battery performance, along with stereo speakers, IP67 rating, and an in-display fingerprint sensor — all of which are missing on the Galaxy F54 5G. If you absolutely need the largest possible battery or a very high-resolution camera, then I can see the merit in going with the F54 5G. For everything else, I think the Galaxy A34 5G offers better value.

Getting a fingerprint magnet plastic back for 30K doesn’t look like a good deal. The whole Android market is going crazy with charging speeds, but Samsung is still stuck at 25W for some reason. So that was my review of Samsung’s latest sub-Rs 30,000 offering. The smartphone looks similar to its other siblings across categories, it has a very good display for the price and the 6,000mAh battery lasts about two days easily. The 25W charging is a bit slow if we compare it with the competition, but that is not a deal breaker.One thing where the Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is just average is the smartphone’s performance. We tested the smartphone using many benchmarks, and the numbers weren’t as convincing to recommend the smartphone over some other high-power devices. But that is not what the Samsung Galaxy F54 5G is made for. The smartphone is more about the experience and camera and with the camera, I can safely say that this is one of the best in this segment.

Samsung Galaxy F54 5G First Impressions: Big Numbers

The Galaxy F54 5G is essentially a rebadged Galaxy M54 5G for India, and it gets Samsung's recently announced Exynos 1380 SoC. It's a 5nm SoC with a total of eight CPU cores, four for performance and four for efficiency. We expect the performance to be along the lines of a Snapdragon 700 series or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series SoCa, but we'll know for sure once we test it. The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G runs One UI 5.1 which is based on Android 13. Samsung has promised four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates for this phone, which is pretty good.

Ok to conclude, I believe this is a decent phone under Rs. 55,000 for a reliable camera. It has an excellent display and great battery life. On top of that, it is guaranteed to get years of software updates. But by paying just a little bit more, you can get the Galaxy A54 instead. It offers a more premium and nicer-looking design. Also, the IP67 rating, better thermal management, stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, and the list goes on.
