SCHENKER Vision 16 Pro RTX 3070 Ti

The latest to join along with the Schenker Vision 16 is the Schenker Vision 16 Pro. In terms of its design and build, this model does not differ from the smaller Vision 14 and that includes the inconspicuous chassis which is just a bit bigger. Schenker has also used the same materials with a magnesium alloy for the base unit and the lid, while the display frame is made of plastic. Apart from that, the bezels at the side are quite narrow at 4 mm, which resulted in a screen-to-body ratio of 85 %. Overall, this laptop leaves a good impression in terms of quality with a sturdy base unit that only flexes slightly in the centre of the keyboard, but with no creaking sounds. While the lid is very thin and can provoke slight picture distortions with concentrated pressure from the back, this should not be an issue during regular use. As far as its display is concerned, this device only offers the Vision 16 Pro with a matte WQHD panel from BOE (NE160QDM-NZ1, 2560 x 1600 pixels), which also supports 240 Hz. Well, the subjective picture impression is rather good as the contents are crisp and bright surfaces are not grainy. While colours do look good, OLED screens tends to offer richer colours though.

In terms of its connectivity, the Vision 16 Pro offers the Thunderbolt 4 along with an HDMI 2.1 output. In addition, there is also a USB Type-C port which can be used for charging the battery as well. As for the keyboard, the black keyboard offers a nice contrast to the silver chassis colour and includes a full-size numpad as well as a two-stage background illumination (white). Simply put, the keyboard is quite precise and the key strokes are very quiet except for the larger return key and space bar, which are noticeably louder. The highlight of this device has to be its huge clickpad with 15.4 x 10 cm. It works really well and offers good gliding capabilities, but the clicking sounds are pretty loud. However, the pad can be easily deactivated via double-tap in the upper left corner, which is indicated by a small LED.

As for the processor, this laptop carries the Intel Core i7-12700H (Alder Lake 12th Gen) which offers 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. It is worth noting that the performance can vary significantly depending on the TDP values and Schenker has decided to limit the processor to 45W by default. This decision is to avoid unwanted fan activity in everyday scenarios, but the performance is already very good in standard applications. Furthermore, the dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB GDDR6-VRAM covers the graphics needs. This simply means that it is not one of the fastest versions, but it is still a decent value considering the chassis size. In a nutshell, it is a great device, depending on the need and preference of the user.

The CPU clocks with up to 5 GHz. Compared to the i9-13900HK no easy overclocking supported, but instead full vPro management feature-set.
