Redmi Note 14 Pro series breaks 2024 Android smartphone sales record
The Redmi Note 14 Pro series are now the best-selling Android smartphones within a week of their release, according to a new report.
Then again, as with some of these announcements made by brand parent Xiaomi, no actual sales numbers or figures are given to support that claim. Accordingly, the member of the line-up responsible for most of these shipments remain unknown.
Then again, there are only 2 options: the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which has a 1.5K (albeit curved) 120Hz OLED display with a decent 1,200 -nit HBM brightness rating despite being the base model that starts at just 1,399 yuan (~$199), or its higher-end Pro Plus (or Pro+) sibling.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC and 50MP OmniVision Light Hunter 800 main rear camera remains exclusive to this device at the time of writing, which also has a 6,200mAh battery, compared to 5,500mAh in the 14 Pro.
Both new smartphones also benefit from the advanced IP69 rating (that just might feature in next-gen flagship Android smartphones. They have yet to join any of Redmi's Note 13-series devices on stores such as Amazon, although one can turn to other vendors in order to get one outside of China at present.
