Redmi Note 14 receives SDPPI approval, suggesting imminent global launch
The Redmi Note 14 series brings three mid-range Android smartphones. At the moment, this lineup is exclusive to China, but just like its predecessors, Xiaomi is expected to launch them outside the Chinese market. This global launch will likely happen sooner rather than later, as the base model has appeared on an Indonesian certification site.
More specifically, the Note 14 has passed through SDPPI, and while this certification didn't reveal any specs, it does confirm a different model number. According to the certification, the base smartphone will launch outside China with a 24094RAD4G model number. Usually, 'G' at the end of Xiaomi phone model numbers indicates that it is a global variant.
On the note of the specs, the base Redmi Note 14 is expected to have identical specs as its Chinese variant. The Pro and the Pro+ models, on the other hand, may come with camera setups different from those of their Chinese variants. As a recent report from Xiaomi Time suggests, both the Pro models will have a different primary camera.
Moreover, the global Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is said to feature a macro camera instead of the telephoto sensor found in the Chinese variant. Besides these, all the other specs of the two Pro models are expected to be the same.
There is no official word on the global prices yet, but the Chinese variants launched with starting prices of CNY 1,899 (around $268) for the Pro+, CNY 1,399 (about $198) for the Pro, and CNY 1,099 (around $155) for the base model.
