The RedMagic 10 Air is now official in China, and alongside this thin and light gaming phone, the company has introduced two new magnetic wireless power banks. Called DAO Energy Card 10,000 mAh and 5,000 mAh, these portable chargers have a slim build and are Qi2 compatible, making them capable of offering 15 W of power wirelessly.
RedMagic claims that both the power banks come with 14 N magnets, which is said to ensure strong magnetic suction. As for the wired charging speed, the one with a 10,000 mAh battery capacity has support for 45 W fast charging, while the smaller 5,000 mAh power bank can deliver 20 W in the wired mode. They can recharge at the same speed as well (65 W Anker Nano curr. $39.99 on Amazon).
Getting back to the design of these two portable chargers, the 10,000 mAh DAO wireless power bank is said to measure only 14 mm thick, while the 5,000 mAh model measures 8 mm. Both of them also come with a lanyard hole, and RedMagic includes a fast charging cable in the box.
Another design highlight of the two power banks is the anodized aluminum body. However, both have a single USB-C port, which means they can top out two devices at once, one through the wired mode and one wirelessly.
Regarding the price, the 5,000 mAh RedMagic DAO magnetic wireless power bank has a launch price of CNY 229, around $41. The larger 10,000 mAh model, on the other hand, has an initial price of CNY 299, about $41. There’s no word on the international availability and prices yet, but given that the company brings its products outside China, these two should make a global debut soon.
