RedMagic has been teasing a new gaming phone for a while, and now, the company has officially revealed the launch date of the device. The RedMagic 11 Air is set to be fully unveiled in China on January 20, 2026, which isn't far from now. With this announcement, the company has also teased that the smartphone will come with 9 "cutting-edge" technologies.
As the teaser shares, a 4D "Ultra-Thick Ice Scale" Vapor Cooling setup is one of them, and this should make the RedMagic 11 Air better handle extreme loads and prolonged gaming sessions. The brand also highlights the RedCore R4 chip that the upcoming phone is set to feature.
Essentially, the RedCore R4 is an in-house chip that promises better gaming performance. While nothing specific has been mentioned, RedMagic officially teased that the 11 Air will come with a notably larger battery than the predecessor. To look back, the last-gen model comes with a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W fast charging (160 W Anker Prime Charger curr. $105.99 on Amazon).
Other details teased with the recent post are slim bezels, an active cooling fan, a pre-installed PC game emulator, and a transparent design. Past reports have hinted that the RedMagic 11 Air will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the last-gen flagship SoC. It will reportedly be paired with up to 24 GB of RAM, and the gaming phone is expected to have a 6.85-inch display, a 7,000 mAh battery, and 120 W fast charging support.
Given that it has the Air moniker, the upcoming gaming phone will be lighter and slimmer than the non-Air phones in the RedMagic 11 series. More official details about the smartphone could emerge before the January 20 launch date.
