Realme's upcoming MagDart wireless charging series' design is allegedly captured in new renders
Realme's recent and well-publicized effort to claim the trademark MagDart in a new EUIPO filing has led to projections of new wireless charging accessories from this brand. Now, GizmoChina claims to effectively set this theory in stone with new images of the products in question.
According to the blog, the MagDart system will consist of 2 SKUs, to start off with, at least. One is frankly plausible enough, as it depicts a new example of the slim puck-like chargers with integrated cables doing the rounds. Realme's take on these MagSafe iPhone 12 charger clones may stand out with a white-metal finish and flat, machined edges.
This is also true of the second "MagDart charger" involved in this leak. Presuming it is a new version of the high-wattage wireless accessories sold by Realme's sister companies OPPO and OnePlus, as GizmoChina implies, the OEM has done well in terms of innovation and design here.
Its alleged take on the Warp Charge Wireless Charger has been transformed into a form-factor with an inescapable resemblance to a high-end NUC, albeit one with just 1 USB type-C port. The impression is compounded with visible exhaust slats, which, as these high-powered accessories do often require cooling, is again convincing enough at this point.
In terms of actual function, a compatible smartphone is presumably meant to go on its flat top in order to charge. All in all, should these renders really correspond to genuine MagDart products, Realme has done very well here. On the other hand, the OEM has yet to even attain the IP necessary to affix the new name to any kind of upcoming consumer items.
