Realme Watch S5 launches soon with unusual design and 20-day battery life

A year after the launch of the rectangular Realme Watch 5, the smartphone manufacturer will soon be launching a round Realme Watch S5. Realme confirms on a teaser website that the new smartwatch will be officially unveiled on Friday, May 22. The watch has a very unusual design, as the round case has a flat exterior, the three buttons protrude relatively far out of the case and the bezel is printed with twelve markings.
Although the Realme Watch S5, like the older Realme Watch 5, is likely to be a relatively inexpensive smartwatch, Realme is advertising a wide range of features, led by a 1.43-inch AMOLED display that achieves a frame rate of 60 Hz and a brightness of 1,500 nits. The display supports an always-on mode, but if this is activated, the advertised battery life of 20 days is unlikely to be achieved.
The smartwatch is waterproof up to a pressure of 5 ATM and can therefore also be worn while swimming. Realme advertises 110 sports modes. An integrated GPS module allows the distance covered while running or cycling to be recorded even without a smartphone.
The Realme Watch S5 has a heart rate and SpO2 sensor and can track stress, sleep and the menstrual cycle. With integrated speakers and microphones, the watch can use a voice assistant and make phone calls via a connected smartphone. Realme has not yet confirmed the price of the Realme Watch S5.
