Garmin smartwatches get improved volume controls in new beta updates

Garmin has released a new pair of updates: beta version 17.30 for the Forerunner 970 and Venu 4 smartwatches, and beta version 17.31 for the Forerunner 570, Venu X1 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches.
With the beta version 17.30 and 17.31 updates, users of these Garmin smartwatches should benefit from enhanced responsiveness when they adjust the device’s volume using a slider on its touchscreen. Another change is linked to the Nutrition Glance, with users now able to log the minute as well as the hour of their meal time. Garmin also states that it has updated the translations for these wearables, though it is unclear which languages have been amended.
These Garmin Forerunner, Venu and vivoactive smartwatch users also receive a bug fix in beta version 17.30/17.31. This should prevent an issue which could cause the wearables to reset unexpectedly. On top of this, there is a second bug fix for the Forerunner 570, Forerunner 970 (curr. $649.99 at Amazon), Venu 4 and Venu X1 smartwatches. This tackles a problem linked to multisport workouts, which could lead to the watch freezing or resetting.
At the time of writing, the beta version 17.30 and 17.31 software is said to have reached around 50% of eligible Forerunner, Venu and vivoactive series smartwatch users. It can be manually downloaded through the system settings when users select ‘Check for Updates’.
