8Bitdo Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox gets a pre-order date and release month

After announcing the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox - Lavender Dusk, 8BitDo has revealed when the Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox will be available to pre-order and the month it will be released. When it was announced at CES 2026, the Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox was scheduled to be released in Q2 2026. However, due to unknown reasons, that won't be happening.
According to an X post by the manufacturer, the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox will be available to pre-order starting on May 26. It will then be released in August, just like the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox - Lavender Dusk.
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox will cost $149.99, making it significantly more expensive than the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox - Lavender Dusk, which is priced at $99.99 (available to pre-order on Amazon). This is due to some of its unique features that are not available on other 8BitDo controllers.
The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E Controller has similar features to the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller such as TMR joysticks, remappable R4 and L4 bumpers, dual back buttons, Hall Effect triggers with trigger stops, and a no-contact points wireless charging dock. However, it also boasts features such as a removable faceplate, swappable ABXY module, replaceable metal D-Pad, swappable thumbsticks, and RGB fire rings.
The controller has an audio jack, six-axis motion control, a 1,000Hz polling rate (PC only), and a 1,400mAh battery capacity with up to 18 hours of battery life. In addition to wireless and wired compatibility with Xbox consoles and PC, the Ultimate 3E also works with Android and Apple devices, albeit via a Bluetooth connection.
