The world's largest PC maker Lenovo and popular manufacturer of PC gaming accessories Razer will join forces to jointly market the Lenovo Y series as special edition Razer devices. The partnership includes future Lenovo Y series of gaming laptops as well. The first Y series desktop prototype will be presented at CES 2016 with the typical Razer green LEDs and design.
Under the partnership, Lenovo and Razer will develop new products for both PCs and portables. Razer will benefit Lenovo as its brand name is more recognizable amongst PC gamers, while Razer will benefit from the sheer manufacturing capabilities and logistics of Lenovo.
Razer has also simultaneously announced the availability of the previously US-only Razer Blade 14 for European regions. The model launches on December 10 with 256/512 GB SSD and FHD/QHD touchscreen options. Only the US keyboard layout will be offered with a German layout planned for the near future. In our review of the 2015 Blade 14, we found it to be an amazingly powerful gaming machine for its size, but with one of the loudest fan noise we've ever recorded at about 60 dB(A) on maximum load.
