Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) arrive with longer battery life launch, upgraded mics, and Dolby Atmos video recording

Alongside the Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, Meta also announced the 3rd generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Officially known as the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), the glasses feature an improved design, longer battery life, and new features.
Design wise, the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) glasses are available in three styles — Aviator, Wayfarer, and Zena, which has a cat-eye frame. In addition, in celebration of the Ray-Ban Aviator's 90th anniversary, there's a limited edition Aviator style with a vintage-inspired colorway. Buyers will be able to choose from 27 different color and lens combinations.
With respect to features, the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) still boasts a 12MP camera with support for recording in 3K and an LED light that informs others that you are recording or taking a photo. It also has support for hands-free capturing and dynamic photos. Storage capacity is 32GB and should be sufficient for up to 1000 photos or over 100 thirty-second videos.
Meta says the glasses now feature a 6-mic array that cuts over 90% background noise even on windy and crowded streets, so that calls and voice commands are clear. Later this year, the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) will get support for recording videos in Dolby Atmos with 360-degree spatial sound. Meta says they will be the first consumer devices with this feature.
Another new feature of the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) glasses is an action button for activating Meta AI. The glasses also boast an improvement in battery life from 8 hours on the Gen 2 to 9 hours; and with the charging case, users get up to an additional 50 hours. The glasses are compatible with devices running Android 10+ and iOS 17+, and they connect via Bluetooth 5.3.
The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) glasses are available to buy now on the Meta online store with a starting price of $449 in the US, €449 in Europe, and £409 in the UK.
