Deal | RTX 4070-powered Asus TUF F15 gaming laptop price drops to new historic low following 32% cut
CES 2025 left us with a plethora of next-generation gaming laptops to look forward to. With the new RTX 50 series laptop GPUs, Intel Core Ultra 200H/AMD Ryzen AI Max 300/AMD Krackan Point CPUs, upcoming laptop launches from the likes of Asus are bound to bring a noticeable performance gain over the current crop of gaming machines.
However, this doesn’t mean that folks who are on the hunt for a gaming laptop should wait for the new machines to drop. On the contrary, new product launches are usually preceded by companies clearing out stock of old-gen machines at reduced prices, presenting an opportunity for keen-eyed buyers to snag gaming laptops at enticing discounts.
Case in point, the mid-range Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop with an RTX 4070 mobile GPU and a Core i7-13620H CPU has now reached its lowest price ever after a $450 on the list price. The laptop is now available for purchase for $949.99 at both Best Buy and eBay.
Asus TUF F15: A high-refresh-rate display and powerful internals
The key selling points of the Asus TUF F15 on sale are the laptop’s 15.6-inch IPS panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and the combination of the Core i7-13620H CPU/RTX 4070 laptop GPU. Combined, this hardware should deliver a smooth frame rate in the latest AAA titles and a pleasant viewing experience.
Looking into the hardware in a bit more detail, Asus claims the TUF F15’s 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel is capable of 300 nits of brightness, 100% sRGB coverage, and supports Nvidia G-Sync. So, despite the panel being only FHD and delivering only 300 nits of brightness, gamers should have no problem enjoying their favorite titles.
For performance, our measurements place the Core i7-13620H and the RTX 4070 laptop in the middle of their respective lineup. As such, the TUF F15 should enjoy strong CPU and GPU performance and be able to play even the most demanding titles at FHD high/ultra.
Additionally, users who want to keep their laptops for a good while will also be able to upgrade the 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage on offer thanks to the inclusion of two SO-DIMM and M.2 slots.
The Asus TUF F15’s port collection is also quite good with the only bummer being the absence of a microSD/SD slot. However, the exclusion of an SD card slot hurts much less when we consider that the TUF F15 is a mid-range gaming game and not one aimed at creators. The ports include:

- One USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DP and PD
- Two Type-A connectors
- A single HDMI 2.1 output
- One 3.5 mm audio jack

Long story short, the Asus TUF Gaming F15 packs a good 144 Hz display, offers true mid-range performance, and, among other things, incorporates a decent port selection. The laptop virtually has everything you could want from an affordable gaming machine. So, at the current asking price, the Asus TUF F15 is a pretty enticing deal.
