Deal | RTX 4060-powered Asus ROG Strix G16 (2023) gets first discount in Amazon's gaming laptop sale
Gaming laptops with Nvidia's brand-new Ada Lovelace-based graphics cards such as the RTX 4060 are finally receiving their first discounts, after the sky-high launch prices have probably deterred many gamers from upgrading to one of these latest machines. Although these rather small price drops don't exactly turn them into an incredible bargain, impatient gamers might want to take note of Amazon's current deal for the 2023 Asus ROG Strix G16.
To be more precise, Amazon is now selling the Asus ROG Strix G16 configuration with the quick Intel Core i7-13650HX processor and the aforementioned Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 dGPU with an adequate TGP of 140 watts for US$1,329 including free shipping. The notebook also sports 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and the 165Hz FHD display with Dolby Vision support. This gaming laptop sale offers a 5 percent or US$70 discount in relation to the official list price, and according to Camelcamelcamel, this is Amazon's best deal yet for this version of the Asus ROG Strix G16.
Earlier this year, we've put a more powerful model variant of the 2023 Asus ROG Strix G16 through its paces as part of our standardized review procedure. Assumably, some of our findings also apply to the RTX 4060 configuration that is on sale here. We for example praised the efficient cooling system, good speakers as well as the expandable storage and Thunderbolt 4 support. On a more critical note, the 16-inch gaming laptop doesn't have the best build quality and our test unit suffered from coil whine. Therefore, early adopters who can live with these downsides may want to take advantage of this deal.
