RG Vita Pro: New Anbernic handheld shows its PS Vita emulation chops in official video

Anbernic finally revealed RG Vita Pro specifications earlier this week, over a month after its last release (curr. $69.99 on Amazon). Now, the company has showcased what its new handheld is capable of in a fresh video. Embedded below, the video highlights that the RG Vita Pro should be more powerful than the existing RG Vita.
Ultimately, we only have Anbernic's word to go off at this stage. It is worth keeping in mind that independent reviews have confirmed that the RG Vita is too weak to emulate PS Vita games, with Retro Game Corps summarising the handheld as more like an RG PSP thanks to its underpowered CPU and GPU. Based on Anbernic's latest video, the RG Vita Pro resolves the shortcomings of its non-Pro sibling.
At this stage, it is unclear whether the RG Vita Pro can emulate PS Vita games at its native 1080p resolution. This would represent approximately 4x scaling, which seems unlikely from the handheld's Mali-G52 MC3 GPU. For reference, this GPU forms part of the Rockchip RK3576 chipset, which Anbernic has complemented with 4 GB of RAM, a 5,000 mAh battery and Hall effect joysticks.
