A MagSafe Battery Charger power bank is being recalled following reports of overheating, burn injuries and property damage. Owners should dispose of affected units immediately and request a $65 refund or $80 store credit.

Flaunt, a lifestyle and tech accessories maker, is recalling its MagSafe Battery Charger power banks with the model number E33A. The affected power banks come in four colors: Melon (BL354CH), Black (BL913CH), Lavender (LA291CH) and White (WH871CH). The recall applies exclusively to units with this specific model number.

Precipitating the recall is the power bank's lithium-ion battery, which may overheat and ignite, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has already reported one incident involving a burned hand, another involving a burn to a consumer's arm, and four cases of minor property damage.

Owners of a Flaunt MagSafe Battery Charger are advised to check immediately whether their device bears the E33A model number. If so, owners should stop using the device and register it on Flaunt's recall page. Upon following the instructions outlined there, affected owners can request either a full $65 refund or $80 store credit.
