It seems that Pico is preparing to release another VR headset, following the launch of the Neo 3 Link earlier this year. Following the publication of an FCC listing in which the regulatory body revealed the headset's design, images of the Pico 4 Pro's controller have also leaked.

In April, Pico Interactive introduced the Neo 3 Link, a VR headset that clearly took inspiration from the Quest 2, now sold with Meta branding. While Pico has not announced any products since, it appears that it is working towards announcing a next-generation VR headset. Not only did the FCC publish documents last month for an unreleased VR headset, but The Ghost Howls has also shared photos of the headset's controllers.

Certified as the A8110, one FCC document contained a drawing of the headset bearing the model name 'Pico 4 Pro'. Typically, FCC listings do not reveal many details about a product before its release. However, the commission's documents contain a look at the headset's lenses and a preview of its design. Also, the listing contained images of the headset's internals, confirming the presence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas. According to The Ghost Howls, the Pico 4 Pro appears to be so thin as only to support pancake lenses, which should also be heading to the Meta Quest Pro, codenamed Project Cambria.

In saying that, The Ghost Howls does not believe that Pico will market the Pico 4 Pro as a Meta Quest Pro competitor. Hence, do not expect a US$1,500 price tag for the Pico 4 Pro when it launches. Although the FCC listing does not reveal technical specifications, the leaked Pico 4 Pro controllers do not appear as complex as those that Meta will release with the Quest Pro. The Pico Pro 4's controllers look sturdy and well-built though, arguably more so than the Neo 3 Link's controllers. Unfortunately, it remains unclear when Pico will unveil the Pico 4 Pro, nor if there will be a non-Pro model.
