Philips GoPix 1 pocket-sized projector wins two awards
The pocket-sized Philips GoPix 1 projector has won two awards. The device has been awarded a 2022 iF Design Award and a 2022 Red Dot Award, both for the product's design. Philips said it was "delighted" to win the awards for its product that "creates the perfect alliance between design and functionality".
Released late last year, the Philips GoPix 1 is a high-end, portable DLP LED projector that can produce images up to 75-in in diagonal diameter. The device has an 854 x 480 px native resolution and can support pictures with a resolution up to 1920 x 1080 px.
You can manually adjust the focus of the gadget, and there are both manual and auto keystone correction options. Plus, there is a 3 W speaker built into the device. A 3,600 mAh battery can last for up to 2 hours without needing to be plugged in.
Mini HDMI and USB-C ports on the gadget enable you to connect devices such as smartphones and laptops. The portable projector measures 78.2 x 120 x 18 mm (~3.1 x 4.7 x 0.7-in) and weighs 0.25 g (~0.01 oz).
You can buy the Philips GoPix 1 for US$329 (or €329). The device comes with a remote control, a tripod, USB-C and HDMI cables.
