PS5 magnetic controller dock and support stand among alleged upcoming third-party accessories; latest PlayStation 5 placeholder price estimate is €599
A user on Reddit has created a subreddit to share details of supposed upcoming PS5 accessories that will be produced by a third-party company. The accessory list includes the aforementioned magnetic controller dock, magnetic play and charge cable, and system stand along with a USB-C glow cable and a controller grip kit. There’s also mention of a PS5 player pack, which would likely include various controllers and cables.
The alleged leaked list of third-party accessories for the PS5 clearly indicates a connection with Biogenik, which creates affordable accessories for various gaming platforms, including the PS4. Along with the list of PS5 accessories, there is a release date mentioned of November 3. This would simply mean gamers could start stocking up on PS5 accessories and cables before the next-gen console was actually released.
Yet another retailer placeholder price for the PS5 has been discovered, this time with the Finnish company VPD. The price, which the retailer has carefully pointed out is currently an estimate, is set at €599 (US$673/£543). This is considerably higher than the purported price leaked recently, which was mentioned as €499. (VAT in Finland is currently 24%.) However, no PS5 price can be considered remotely official until it comes straight from Sony.
