PS5 emulator for PC boots another PlayStation exclusive as progress accelerates

A couple of PS5 emulator projects have been making notable progress recently. KtytyPS5, for example, was shown to boot the PlayStation 5 version of Grand Theft Auto V and could navigate the in-game menu and settings. It was also able to get Quake II Remastered to the 3D rendering stage.
SharpEMU, another notable PS5 emulator for PC, has also reached headlines by running Dreaming Sarah, a 2D puzzle platformer. It was even able to get Bloodborne, a PlayStation 5 exclusive game, to the loading screen.
Now, SharpEMU is shown to boot another PS5 exclusive, Astro Bot. While booting the game to its loading screen may not seem much, as the game's still not playable yet, it's another milestone for the emulation scene.
On the official Discord server, the emulator is shown to officially boot other PS5 games. That includes Superliminal and Silent Hill: The Short Message. At the current stage, the emulator can load eboot.bin files, read metadata, and run native CPU instructions. It can also somewhat tackle kernel functions, but there are still a lot of core components that have not yet been implemented.
The good part is that at the pace that this emulation scene is progressing, it will probably not be long before we see emulators like SharpEMU smoothly run PS5 games on PC. Of course, even with such progress, it's still highly unlikely that these emulators will be able to run the PlayStation 5 version of GTA VI anytime soon after the game's launch (pre-order on Amazon).
