Oxtak has unveiled the Moneypenny AI voice recorder at CES 2026 with an MSRP of $249, and pre-orders begin in February 2026.
The recorder can provide meeting summaries, real-time translations, and answer questions using AI services, including Claude, Deepseek, Gemini, Grok, and OpenAI. This requires an annual subscription ranging from $39 to $399 per year. Recordings are automatically synchronized to the Oxtak service, and AI-generated summaries and translations are also accessible through the Oxtak smartphone apps and the Oxtak website.
Users can also choose to use any third-party AI large language model (LLM) accessible through an API key. An Enterprise edition allows companies to deploy a fully local solution powered by internal servers.
Dual-MEMS microphones record meetings while built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allow the unit to create real-time AI translations that are displayed on its 4-inch color touchscreen. Wireless microphones can also be used with Moneypenny. Recordings can be played using the built-in speaker.
The ARM Cortex A53-powered device runs a customized operating system with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. A 2,000 mAh battery is packed inside the 123 x 80 x 12 mm (4.8 x 3.1 x 0.5 in.) body. A fingerprint scanner is built in to secure the recorder.
Readers who cannot wait for meeting notes might consider the Plaude Note Pro AI voice recorder (sold on Amazon).
