Oura Ring and Strava integration announced for collated workout and health data
Oura and Strava have announced a partnership with a two-way integration. You can import Strava activities into the Oura app, meaning you do not have to wear the Oura Ring when you work out. This could be helpful when wearing the ring is uncomfortable, such as when it is hot or if you are weight lifting.
The integration will allow you to incorporate this exercise into your Oura Readiness and Activity scores, which will help you to measure your exercise goals and recovery. Some Oura activities can also be pushed to Strava, enabling you to share your exercise and Activity or Readiness scores in your public or private feed.
You can export exercises recorded with the Workout Heart Rate feature. However, you cannot currently share workouts recorded by the Oura Ring via Automatic Activity Detection or manually added activities to Strava. The integration is available for Gen2 and Gen3 Oura members. Plus, the Oura Ring already supports Apple Health and Google Fit app integrations.
This is not the only collaboration that Oura has announced recently; the company has teamed up with Gucci on a new design for the Oura Ring. The device features the Gucci logo alongside a chain motif and retails for US$950.
