The Gigabyte Aero series has become so popular for the manufacturer that it essentially replaced the older Gigabyte P series seemingly overnight. It checks almost all the right boxes including Thunderbolt 3, crisp keyboard keys, 4K UHD, slim design, upgradeable RAM and storage, and even optional GeForce RTX graphics. The latter is particularly appealing since the competing Dell XPS 15 maxes out at only the GeForce GTX 1650.

The most appealing part of the sale is the 4K UHD OLED display which typically retails for much more on other laptops. The 256 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM are on the low side, but end-user upgrades are straightforward as we've noted on our full review of the Aero 15 here.

There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s.
