Orico is best known for releasing docking stations, whether that be those that add more ports, like its recent 20-in-1 port solution, Mac mini SSD expansion or external SSDs for iPhones (curr. $59.99 on Amazon). Now, the company has started teasing at least one mysterious device on Chinese social media.
For the time being, Orico is being rather vague about what it has up it sleeve. Initially, it seemed that the company had developed several new products as part of a new venture aimed at gamers. Since then, Orico has focused on the Mac Pro like positioned at the back of its original teaser image, albeit without providing any specifics.
Instead, continues to be rather opaque in its Weibo posts by mentioning that its next device is aimed at 'redefining desktop aesthetics' by making your desktop the 'ultimate stage for... performance' without compromising on it being a 'visual centrepiece' either. From those descriptions, it seems that Orico could be working towards delivering a tower case of some kind modelled on Apple's most recent desktop tower. However, we would not be surprised if the device pictured is actually a network-attached storage (NAS) solution. Orico will fully unveil its next device on November 1.
