Deal | Open-world survival game with crafting and pets drops from $39.99 to $0 on Steam

The developers of Wild Terra 2: New Lands have announced that the game will be available for free for a limited time starting Friday, June 12, 2026. Anyone who claims the game on Steam during this promotion can keep and play it forever.
Wild Terra 2: New Lands was already offered for free in December 2025. The player numbers show that this promotion was a big success. As SteamDB shows, Wild Terra 2: New Lands had fewer than 200 concurrent players before this promotion, but the promotion boosted the number of players to a record high of 3,859. Especially for an MMO with numerous paid expansions, such a boost in player numbers is a huge win.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands is a survival game featuring an open world and a crafting system. A leveling system, similar to those found in role-playing games, enhances both combat and crafting skills. The game offers the option to play solo and avoid PvP areas, or to join guilds, explore dungeons, tame pets, and build your own home.
The game runs on as little as 4 GB of RAM and an older Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 with at least 1 GB of VRAM. However, Wild Terra 2: New Lands isn’t entirely free of issues, as evidenced not least by its mixed Steam reviews – only 52 percent of all players have given the game a positive rating. Among other things, players complain about poor translation, time-consuming leveling, and crashes, some of which are reportedly due to overloaded servers.
