Unfortunately, The Elder Scrolls VI isn't due to show up anytime soon, despite being shown off a decade ago.
In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you play as the Dragonborn. You've probably seen its introductory segment, where you wake up in a horse-drawn cart, because it has been the subject of countless memes online. Like Oblivion, Skyrim has an elaborate character creator, complete with multiple classes, races, and the ability to create your custom class. With over 60 million copies sold, it has been Bethesda's most successful title so far.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is your quintessential Bethesda open world title, complete with a 26-hour campaign. While you can rush through the open world quickly, it hides a ton of secrets that you'll need to find on your own. The game holds up quite well even today, despite being launched in 2011. And, if you find its content lacking, there's a proverbial goldmine of user-generated content out there.
Over the years, players have created elaborate mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Some of them, like Twisted Skyrim, are over 500 GB in size and completely transform the game. Picking between Skyrim mods in itself is a mini-game on which you can spend dozens of hours.
