OnePlus has announced that it will no longer sell the OnePlus 5T in North America. The 5T was released in November, just four months ago, so this could go down as the shortest sales cycle of any device ever. It, of course, also means that we’re close to the release of the OnePlus 6.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 5T in November.  The device launched with an extremely attractive MSRP that made it our best value high-end pick for the year. Sadly, henceforth, the OnePlus 5T will no longer be available for sale in North America, as OnePlus claims to have depleted its stock for the region.

That’s positive news for the company, of course, as it means that demand was so high the 5T sold out in just four months. North America is OnePlus’ biggest market, so it comes as no surprise that the region would have had the most sales. Some would argue that OnePlus should have produced more units for the region but it’s also quite obvious that this declaration by the company could be linked to the release of the OnePlus 6.

The OnePlus 5 was released in May last year, and we expect the OnePlus 6 to take up a similar release timeline, especially since the device has already made the trip over to benchmarks, and leaks of its specifications flood the Internet. Having the 5T available in stores would, no doubt, detract from the sales of the OnePlus 6.
