OnePlus 6 specs get leaked
Rumor had it that the upcoming OnePlus 6 could replicate most of the Oppo R15 specs at launch, but a few recent leaks reveal that is not the case. The leaked Chinese product sheet indicates that the OnePlus 6 may rival even the Samsung flagships, making the Oppo R15 seem like a cheaper clone.
The only things the Oppo R15 has in common with the OnePlus 6 are the 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080 AMOLED display (with the infamous iPhone X notch) and the 3,450 mAh. SoC-wise, the OnePlus 6 will be powered by a high-end Snapdragon 845 processor, but, instead of being clocked at 2.8 GHz, this one will only run at 2.7 GHz. As far as memory and storage are concerned, there is a 6 GB + 128 GB combo that is not usually featured in the recent OnePlus smartphones. This model will be running an OS based on Android 8.1 out of the box (probably an updated Hydrogen OS for Chinese-only devices).
What really impresses at the OnePlus 6 is the camera setup. The front selfie camera has a 20 MP sensor, which is pretty much standard with all Chinese mid-range/high-end Chinese smartphones nowadays. However, the rear setup sports a ridiculous 20 MP + 16 MP combo, just like the OnePlus 5T. All lenses have an f/1.7 aperture.
Pricing information was not yet confirmed, but one leak claims the 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage OnePlus 6 version will have an MSRP of US$749. This is, however, an approximation based on the Chinese price, so prices for the Western markets may be different.
