OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition now official with a phosphorescent neon maze on the back and Pac-Man themed OxygenOS goodies

After being in the rumor mill for quite some time, the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition is now official. For all intents and purposes, the Nord 2 Pac-Mac Edition is essentially a reskinned version of the original device with a Pac-Man theme made in collaboration with Bandai Namco Europe. However, there are some cosmetic changes that are likely to appeal to Pac-Man fans.

According to OnePlus, the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition offers an "expertly crafter, fully customized package celebrating the video game icon Pac-Man". The device sports an all-Pac-Man design right from the design of the back cover to some of the OxygenOS elements. 

The Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition features a dual-film rear cover with the outermost layer featuring both OnePlus and Pac-Man design elements while the inner layer is a glossy phosphorescent design that glows in the dark revealing a neon maze similar to the Pac-Man game. 

Pac-Man-style turn-to-blue touches are given to the alert slider, and OnePlus even ships a Pac-Man themed DIY phone holder featuring popular game characters. 

OxygenOS 11.3, too, has been modified to suit the Pac-Man theme with pixelated aesthetics, game wallpapers with challenges to unlock more of them, a custom camera filter, custom animations, and the Pac-Man 256 game pre-installed. Also available are Pac-Man ringtones, photo stickers, etc. that can be unlocked by completing various challenges on-device.

Under the neon Pac-Man glitz, it's the same OnePlus Nord 2 5G we've known with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, 90 Hz Fluid AMOLED display, and dual 5G SIM slots. The Pac-Mac Edition will only be offered in a 12 GB RAM, and 256 GB storage variant. A 50 MP AI triple camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor and a 4,500 mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 complete the main specifications.

The OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Mac Edition will go on sale at 12 PM November 16 for ₹37,999 (US$511) in India on Amazon.in, OnePlus.in, and OnePlus Experience Stores across the country. Apart from a straight ₹2,000 discount, Citibank card holders also stand to benefit from an instant ₹1,000 bank discount and an additional ₹1,250 discount on 3 and 6-month EMI plans. 

Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition customers also stand to get three months of Spotify Premium subscription via the Red Cable Club. Joining the Red Cable Club will also enable customers to redeem a voucher for claiming their free Pac-Man holder.
