A user over on the XDA forums spotted a mention of the TWS OnePlus Buds in code for the Android 11 Settings APK, lending credence to rumors that OnePlus will soon be releasing its own pair of TWS earphones.
Arjun Krishna Lal,

An eagle-eyed observer over on the XDA forums spotted a string of code in Android 11’s Settings APK that appears to reference TWS OnePlus Buds. These could be OnePlus’ very first TWS headphones. Interestingly, despite competitors like Realme and Vivo launching their own TWS AirPods alternatives, such as the Realme Buds Air, OnePlus has yet to do so. Their Bullets Wireless Z offers great found quality but still have a cable.

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about the OnePlus Buds. Tipster @MaxJmb earlier shared what look like marketing and teaser images for the OnePlus Buds. The Android 11 code string confirms that these TWS earphones exist.

What about launch timeframes? According to the rumour mill, OnePlus is set to release the affordable, midrange OnePlus Z smartphone as early as next month in the Indian market. We wouldn’t rule out the possibility that OnePlus introduces the OnePlus Buds alongside the OnePlus Z. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear more.
