One of the best value flagships this year, the OnePlus 6, is now available for US$100 less
OnePlus released its first flagship for the year, the OnePlus 6, back in May. While the company has followed it up with a slight upgrade in the form of the OnePlus 6T—a trend that began with the third-generation OnePlus phones two years ago—the OnePlus 6 still offers great value. OnePlus is currently offering the OnePlus for much less than normal, with a US$100 discount now available in the spirit of Black Friday.
OnePlus phones very rarely go on sales like this, so this is a pleasant surprise. Even more surprising is the fact that the OnePlus 6 is still in stock, as the company has taken to ending sales whenever a new device is released—for instance, the company officially stopped selling the OnePlus 5T just before the OnePlus 6 was launched.
The base model OnePlus 6 has an MSRP of US$529, so this deal will allow buyers to snag the flagship at just US$429, which is surely one of the best value deals on the market. It’s even more remarkable when one considers the fact that the OnePlus 6 may even be a better device than the OnePlus 6T. The former features a notification LED and a 3.5mm jack, two things the latter lacks. There’s also the fact that the OnePlus 6 features a traditional fingerprint reader, which is more reliable than the in-display sensor on the OnePlus 6T. Some would argue that only major advantage the OnePlus 6T has over the OnePlus 6 is a better design, with the teardrop notch being aesthetically more pleasing.
