The 3.5 mm headphone jack seemed all but dead, save for a few devices like the Xperia series, the LG V series, the LG Velvet and some gaming smartphones. Even Samsung ditched the headphone jack, while Google stopped including jacks in its smartphones as of the Pixel 2 series. However, Realme has decided to include the 3.5 mm connection in its next flagship smartphone, the GT.
So far, we know that Realme will release two versions of the GT, a vegan leather one and a glass one, pictured. The device's first official marketing renders also confirm it will have three rear-facing cameras, of which a 64 MP sensor will be the primary.
Additionally, we can deduce from the lack of a side-mounted or rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that the Realme GT has an AMOLED display. The presence of a speaker grille next to the USB Type-C port suggests that the Realme GT will not have front-firing speakers.
The Realme GT arrives on March 4. It is unclear if Realme plans to launch the device globally, though.
