Nobody wants to die
From February 12 through February 19, the cyberpunk detective game Nobody Wants to Die is available for free on the Epic Games Store. If you claim the title within that time frame, it will remain in your library permanently. Here’s what the game is about and how it’s been received so far.

What is Nobody Wants to Die?

Nobody Wants to Die is set roughly 300 years in the future. A string of murders shakes the upper class of a dystopian society, and players step into the role of detective James Karra to solve the case in a roughly six-hour, linear campaign. Assisting him along the way is fellow officer Sara Kai.

Until when is the game free?

The PC version of Nobody Wants to Die is free to claim until February 19. Anyone who redeems the game during this period will keep it in their library even after the promotion ends.

Originally released in 2024, the game runs on Unreal Engine 5, delivering impressive visuals. It carries a USK 18 rating.

How to claim the game on the Epic Games Store

To add the game to your account, log in to the Epic Games Store or create an account if you don’t already have one (direct link to the game). Search for Nobody Wants to Die, click “Get,” and then complete the checkout process. Once claimed, the game will be permanently added to your library.

How good is Nobody Wants to Die? Reviews & playtime

On Metacritic, the game currently holds a score of 75, with a user score of 7.3. German gaming outlet GameStar awarded it 80 points, praising its dystopian cyberpunk setting, cynical noir-style protagonist, dense atmosphere, and strong visuals.

At around six hours, the campaign is on the shorter side. Players looking for heavy action or combat may find it less appealing.

These are the next free games on the Epic Store

From February 19 through February 26, two additional titles will be available for free, though they are less widely known: Return to Ash, a roughly three-hour, story-driven visual novel, and Stalcraft X, an MMO set in a Stalker-inspired world.
