Black Friday features Switch and Switch 2 sales on some of the most popular Nintendo games. Newer releases like Donkey Kong Bananza and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 are part of the fun. Zelda games, including Tears of the Kingdom, are also at some of their lowest prices to date.

It can be an agonizing wait for first-party Nintendo Switch 2 games to become more affordable. However, on Black Friday, Donkey Kong Bananza is being treated to one of its steepest discounts yet. Buyers will also find some of the best Switch games on sale, with Mario and Zelda titles upgradeable to maximize the new handheld.

The latest Switch 2 Donkey Kong epic

Donkey Kong Bananza lets players romp through 3D environments, obliterating any obstacles. The Nintendo game enjoys 90+ ratings from reviewers and users on Metacritic. Gamers demolish objects and manipulate environments as they navigate dangerous subterranean levels. Pauline, the youthful singer, joins Donkey Kong to help discover buried treasure. She also becomes integral to the optional co-op multiplayer mode.

Although the Switch 2 game takes advantage of the handheld’s improved specs, it still has some performance drawbacks. During combat, frame rates may suddenly drop from 60 fps to 30 fps. Nevertheless, most players find that these moments don't detract from the engaging gameplay.

Donkey Kong Bananza is available through the Woot app on Android and iOS for $55.20. Buyers should log in with their Amazon accounts to see the lower price. There have also been reports that some Costco stores are selling the title for $40-45.

Mario and Zelda Black Friday deals

Nintendo received criticism when it unveiled the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 combo release in September 2025. The older Mario game already appeared in the 2020 Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection. Nevertheless, the $69.99 price is now more reasonable at $55.20 when checking out on the Woot app. The Switch 2 game upgrade, featuring improved graphics and modern controls, is a free download.

The most recent 3D Mario adventure, Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch, is half price at Target. For $30 instead of $60, players can explore vibrant worlds that expand on traditional platformer mechanics.

Zelda fans aren’t left out of the Black Friday Switch and Switch 2 sale. Owners of the newer handheld now have a cheaper way to revisit The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Woot app has the Switch version reduced to $37.59 with a Prime discount. Buyers can upgrade to smoother 60 fps gameplay with a $9.99 downloadable upgrade pack.

There are many more Nintendo Switch games seeing record-low prices at retailers. One other notable mention is The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which is $30 at Walmart. For shoppers without a console, there is a somewhat complex but lucrative $100-off deal on a Switch 2 bundle.
