Nexa3D reveals the XiP, the Ultrafast Polymer Desktop 3D Printer
Nexa3D designed its first desktop 3D printer, the XiP, which is slated to launch in Q2 2022 and prices begin at US$5,999. The XiP was conceptualised with a focus on speed and the company targets many market sectors such as retail, medical, dental, automotive and machinery as well as aerospace and defense.
The 3D printing manufacturer employs its proprietary technologies such as LPSc to facilitate advanced 3D printing that is accurate, reliable and fast. Other components include collimated light optics, an advanced UV light engine and a modular 4K LCD and combine with Nexa3D's cutting-edge technologies to place them ahead of the competition.
LSPc is defined as Lubricant Sublayer Photo-curing and permits blistering printing speeds of up to 18cm/hr. The system utilises everlast membranes that eliminate the peel-off forces that other 3D printers have. Furthermore, accuracy is bolstered by a modular 4k monochrome LCD, which features single pass imaging and easy maintenance. Also, UV LED arrays enable coherent 3D prints via culminating light optics that cover surfaces uniformly.
NFC technology is also implemented to monitor the lifespan of the everlast membranes and to detect the compatibility of resin cartridges, which can be swapped during active 3D printing. According to Nexa3D, these components have a very long lifespan and are simple to replace or upgrade due to the XiP's highly modular design.
