New iPad Mini 6 rumor: October launch, 8.38-inch display
Based on the previous leaks and rumors, it was expected for the iPad Mini 6 to arrive in November with a screen size between 8 and 9 inches. The latest accurate figure that surfaced online was 8.6 inches. Now, it looks like Apple's next-gen iPad Mini might arrive sooner, apparently packing a slightly smaller display.
A recent listing on Amazon Japan that was spotted by Gizmodo Japan and was removed shortly after it became a news piece reveals the two essential pieces of information mentioned earlier, namely the release date of the tablet and the accurate size of its touchscreen display. The Elecom glass screen protector (the product in the listing spotted by Gizmodo Japan) was advertised as an accessory for an all-screen 8.38-inch iPad, but without mentioning the device's name. This accessory was scheduled to arrive on October 20, so this might as well be the launch date of the iPad Mini 6 as well.
All the above might be still information located in the rumor territory, but a display analyst also mentioned 8.3-inch as the display size of the next-gen iPad Mini earlier this year, and October 20 in Japan is in line with October 19 in the United States. October 19 is Tuesday, and since Apple often unveils new products on a Tuesday in October, remains to get there and see what happens.
