Samsung has introduced a new all-in-one desktop in the style of an Apple iMac. Only announced in South Korea for now, the DM530AFA-LC71W should outperform the Apple iMac in several areas while also providing upgrade options that Apple's all-in-one lacks.

Samsung has announced the DM530AFA-LC71W in South Korea, a 24-inch all-in-one machine powered by the Intel Raptor Lake architecture. Specifically, Samsung has equipped the machine with a 1080p and 16:9 panel that measures 23.8-inches across. For some reason, Samsung does not provide many display values and only adds that it has included an anti-glare coating to mitigate reflections.

Additionally, the DM530AFA-LC71W features up to the Core i7-1360P, a 12-core and 16-thread processor that reaches 5 GHz on its 4 P cores. Samsung complements the 28 W processor with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM that is accessible via a service panel. Hence, it should be possible to upgrade the DM530AFA-LC71W, should you ever need to do so. Likewise, Samsung has included a replaceable 512 GB NVMe SSD, as well as a 2.5-inch drive slot.

Moreover, the all-in-one has a pop-up webcam, stereo 5 W speakers, four USB Type-A ports, a single USB Type-C connection, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI-in, HDMI-out and a MicroSD card reader. A wireless keyboard and mouse round out the package, which starts at KRW 1,240,000 (~US$931) in South Korea with a Core i3 processor. Alternatively, there are Core i5 and Core i7 options for KRW 1,420,000 (~US$1,066) and KRW 1,720,000 (~US$1,291), respectively. While Samsung has announced the DM530AFA-LC71W in South Korea, it remains to be seen whether it has a global release planned.
