New Porsche Taycan facelift spied on the Nürburgring, revealing sharper visuals and updated headlights

It's been known for a while that Porsche is developing an updated version of its Taycan electric sports car as a mid-cycle refresh. It's unclear whether Porsche plans on making any hardware changes during the mid-cycle refresh, as the Taycan is expected to come with the same standard and long-range battery options as the current-gen, but the striking visual overhaul has been revealed in recent spy shots by Auto Express.

The images reveal a Taycan with a significantly more aggressive look to it, largely due to updates made to the front and rear bumpers of the car, as well as the headlights. The fact that Porsche is already testing the new Taycan on the Nürburgring, where the recent images were taken, is a good indication that the facelift should be arriving in 2024, in time for the 2025 model year.

First and foremost, the headlights are ever-so-slightly updated, now forgoing the recess and instead sitting flush with the hood and front bumper. The images aren't incredibly clear, but the Taycan also seems to feature sharper trailing lines behind the headlights, accentuating the front wheel wells more than before.

In addition to the updated graphics, the updated Taycan appears to have a collection of new intakes and vents on both the front and rear. It's unlike Porsche to add these sorts of trim pieces for no reason at all, so these may in fact come into play in an updated battery or brake cooling system, or as some sort of aerodynamic benefit.
