New Geekbench scores of Lenovo laptop with Snapdragon X Elite CPU match flagship Intel and AMD processors
Qualcomm confirmed that Snapdragon X Elite laptops are coming in “mid-2024.” As we near the announced launch time frame, more and more listings of these systems have started to pop up on Geekbench. Last month, we reported about a Lenovo laptop listing with one of the upcoming processors, and now, another listing has popped up.
The last listing was about a Lenovo laptop with an “83ED” codename, and this time, the codename is “4810UV0100.” However, both the listings show the same CPU, the Snapdragon X Elite X1E78100. It’s a 12-core processor with an 8+4 core configuration.
On the last listing, the Lenovo laptop with the same CPU got 11,392 points in multi-core and 1,682 points in single-core tests of Geekbench 6.2. As we mentioned in our previous report, these benchmark scores are noticeably lower than the in-house benchmark scores from Qualcomm. However, in the new listing, the scores are close to what the company claimed before.
To be specific, in the new listing, the Snapdragon X Elite processor got 2,427 in single-core and 14,254 in multi-core tests. These are near to what Qualcomm claimed from its in-house Geekbench benchmark run at 23 watts. But again, the new Geekbench listing doesn’t show what wattage the chip inside the Lenovo “4810UV0100” laptop was running at. So, it’s not exactly a 1:1 comparison.
What’s more interesting is that these scores show the Snapdragon X Elite processor matching flagship Intel and AMD processors. For reference, from our tests, the minimum score of the Intel Core i9-13900H is 2,437 in single-core and 11,118 in multi-core. The Core i7-13700HX got a minimum score of 2,541 in single-core and 11,793 in multi-core. As for AMD, the Ryzen 9 8945HS scores a minimum of 2,632 in single-core and 13,155 in multi-core.
These minimum scores of the flagship Intel and AMD processors are close to what the Lenovo laptop with the Snapdragon X Elite CPU has achieved in the new listing. That said, while Qualcomm is yet to reveal an exact launch date for the upcoming laptops, you can expect some updates at Computex 2024.
